A surprise collection for all you saltwater mermaids!
Made from lodolite, the gemstone of my north Atlantic dreams.

The previous Tidal Pool offering featured primarily this lodolite ring design.
So I decided to only make a small handful of these so that anyone who missed them last time could perhaps catch one.
This ring features a beautiful garden quartz set in a pronged gemstone that looks like tufts of seagrass waving in the sun. To either side of the stone are little sterling beach stones.
Barnacled Tidal Pool Necklace
There will be 35 necklaces available.
Suspended from chains adjustable 17″ – 20″
There will be two size pendants available,
a smaller size (around 16-18mm) and a larger size (around 21-25mm).
Each necklace will list the pendant size, as well as feature
a picture of the each pendant next to an American quarter for size reference.

Each of these necklaces is made from a stunning natural, lodolite quartz gemstone, each entirely unique.
Some have beautifully defined inclusions that look just like twirling coral reefs reaching up to the water’s surface.
Others look like a a bit of the ocean floor, sandy and speckled with sparkling sand.
Around each gemstone, I have delicately placed little silver barnacles that I have hand-forged from molten silver.
Just like the walls of a tide pool.
They look like tiny treasures pulled from the ocean, antiqued and brushed, beautiful and organic.

Lodolite is a variety of quartz with inclusions of chlorite, iron and calcite.
These minerals can be seen as plumes in the colorless stone with green, pink, yellow, brown, white and red.
It is often called garden quartz or scenic quartz because it looks like a mossy covered miniature garden.
Lodolite, the stone of a thousand variations.
Some have soft plumes of fine grain inclusions, like sand swirled up by a wave.
Others have beautiful, intricate pillars climbing through the stone, like coral reefs at the bottom of a clear pool.
And others, and black or golden rutiles cutting through the clear stone, like the spines of tiny urchins.
And that’s everything, all you merfolk and beach-combers!
Tiny worlds held in stone, to wear upon the hand or around the neck. Tiny weightless sea tangles and swirling stone corals. When I look into them, I feel convinced a tiny seahorse is going to float out from behind the plume inclusions.
