Constants: Kyanite, Sapphire, Opal

May 4, 2024 ·

And here they finally are, the last stones to be included in this year’s Constants Collection. A limited run of simple rings, for your every day. Tiny pops of color to accompany you always.

Just a heads up, since these designs are all quite similar and straight forward, the cost of the ring is primarily determined by the size/cost of the gemstones. In case you were wondering about the range of prices!

All the rings are simply set in tiny prong bezels, atop a half-round bands for comfort, and polished to a shine.

Constant Ring: Kyanite

5, 5, 6, 6, 6, 6.5, 6.5, 6.5, 6.5, 6.5, 6.5, 6.5, 6.75, 6.75, 6.75,

Price: $85 – $138
(Price is dependent on size/cost of the gemstone.)

First, these kyanite rings. Oh my goodness, these colors! My fella even commented on the stones and said how incredibly beautiful they are, so I know they are something special!

The colors range from minty green with splashes of dark blue to deep peacock green to the most oceany teal blue I could imagine.

I had originally planned to only include the bicolor kyanites in this upcoming offering, warm green kyanites with splashes of blue rushing through.

But how could I pass up these blue-green kyanites!? I have been collecting them for years, like a great sea serpent sitting atop a pile of ocean gems. And this spring they were sirening to me from the gemstone cabinet.

They yearned for summer sunshine from atop some undine hands, and I cant blame them Sparkling gems for summer mermaids and sun-drenched beaches. Light being tossed from every facet, skittering and dancing as atop the ocean.

There will be petite subtle beauties, as well as bold ones that pack a punch. As such, they will be primarily priced according to stone size.

Do keep in mind that kyanite is a very crackly stone and some, if not most, have surface quirks. They are very organic and crystalline, which I think adds to their charm!

Constant Ring: Opal

Sizes available:
6.25, 6.25, 6.5, 6.75, 7.75, 7, 7, 7, 7,
7.75, 8, 8, 8, 8.5, 8.5, 9, 9.75,
Set atop 3mm half-round bands

True to size.
Price: $105 – $135

Alright, can I say, “Brava” to anyone who photographs opals for a living. They are tricky!

But goodness is that magic tough to catch in a photo. With every photo I took of them, I became convinced that those who consistently capture opals in all their glittery loveliness MUST be wizards.

You will have to use your imagination a bit for these opals, I promise, they are so much more beautiful in person. I could not for the life of me catch their fire, in part because I just couldn’t catch a sunny day this past week.

That soft sprinkle of rainbow sparkle in these opals thoooo! Opals are pure magic in the way color plays across the surface. One part geology, two parts pixie dust I think.

Constant Ring: Pink Sapphire

Sizes available:
5, 5, 6, 6, 6, 6, 6, 6, 6.5, 6.5, 6.75,
7, 7, 7, 7, 7, 7, 7, 7.25, 7.25, 7.5, 7.5, 7.5, 7.5, 7.5, 7.75,
8, 8, 8, 8, 8, 8, 8, 8, 8.5, 8.5, 8.5, 8.75, 9, 9, 9.5, 9.5, 10, 10
Set atop 3mm half-round bands

True to size.
Price: $95 – $120

And of course, what would a spring collection be without a spray of pink.

I have included pink sapphires in a wide range of cuts for you!

There are some smooth like a soft peony bloom.

Others are faceted to drink the light and catch ablaze.

There are some petite little stones, the shape of a squat little petal blown from a flower.

Others are long and slender marquise, like a saturated daisy petal.

Teardrops, opals, rounds, oh my! 🙂

These April pink buds have bloomed just in time for May for you. Tiny flowers for you to pluck for your hand.

The stones in Sunday’s offering are all similar in how unassuming they are until they catch a ray of light…

…then they positively glow and sparkle.

Each of these stones drink the light and dance with each ray upon the hand.

These rings will alight in the SHOPIFY shop at 7:00 p.m. EST
SUNDAY, MAY 5TH.
