On Noiseless Wing Collection: Sun, July 13th, 7pm EST

July 12, 2025 · Leave a Comment

And here it is, the full preview of the upcoming “On Noiseless Wing” Collection.

I have dreamt of this collection for a few years now, I even started working on these the first summer we were up in that little cabin near the Bigelow Mountains.

Knowing it would not be a recurring offering, but one that fluttering into the shop and fluttered right back out again.

These fleeting offerings were a joy to make, early summer months with amber and chestnut colored agate butterflies covering every bit of my smithing bench.

Flitting around my head as I hammer and saw, inspecting every bowl red garnets.

I can feel how eager they are to fly off into the world, and I cannot wait for you to meet them.

Butterfly Kiss Rings

Sizes available:

Set atop 4mm rectangle bands

True to size.
Price: $139

A romantic flutter of movement, deep furtive garnets, and the delicate ambers and creams of a butterfly wing.

A ring made of summertime affection and sun-soaked bliss.

This ring design was made from my very favorite of my entire collection of Montana agates.

Some are rich and bold in color, others are soft and subtle. A ring to match you.

They are set in sturdy sterling silver with windows sawn out of the backs to accent the stone with the soft color of your skin, rendering you part butterfly!

Below each agate gemstone is a hessonite garnet gemstone, flashing deep reds at just the right angle.

Ever fluttering and alighting, just like a butterfly.

They are set atop rectangle bands with a floating dot pattern trailing around the band, like the tiny footprints of a butterfly tip-toeing its way around the finger.

Lilting Blues Earrings

There will be 11 pairs available.
Suspended from simple french earwires
Price: $148

When I think of blue butterflies, I think of Vladmir Nabokov, who also lived in Ithaca, New York for a spell, as we did.

He was an avid amateur lepidopterist, and even discovered and named a few species himself, particularly common blue butterflies.

There is still a collection of the butterflies he caught and studied at Cornell. We were able to peek at them once a year when Cornell would dust off the archives and bring them out for people to see.

And so, I named these earrings after those lilting common blues, soft as a summer morning and twice as beautiful.

These earrings are made from unique slices of Montana agate cut as a pair. For each pair of earrings, I used very different agate pairs, varying in shape, patterning, color, and size.

On the backs of the agate dangles, I have sawn tiny geometric and slightly irregular windows, to look like the patterning of a butterfly wing.

Below each agate gemstones are dimensional butterflies, floating off in different directions.

And below those, smooth fluorite gemstones in varying hues of teal to green to purple. Reminiscent of the iridescence of blue butterfly wings, seamlessly gliding between colors.

Painted Lady Necklaces & Earrings

There will be 14 necklaces and 8 pairs of earrings.
Earrings are suspended from simple french sterling earwires.
Pendants are suspended from chains adjustable from 17″ – 20″
Prices:
Earrings: $115 – $127
Necklaces: $116 – $132

Painted ladies, the sweetest and most understated of the butterflies, with their burnt oranges, creamy whites, and stripes of black swirling through their wings.

And these simple necklaces and earrings to honor those ladies of summer.

They are as simple and understated as it gets. For the ladies who wish to tuck a subtle bit of summer under their ears or below their throats, suitable for any outfit.

The necklaces and earrings are made from gorgeous slices of Montana agate gemstones.

On the backs of the agate pendants and earrings, I have sawn tiny geometric and slightly irregular windows, to look like the patterning of a butterfly wing.

And there are tiny dots sprinkled around the periphery, like the tiny eyes on the wings of a butterfly.

Abiding Summer Necklace & Rings

There will be 15 necklaces and 7 rings.
Pendants are suspended from chains adjustable from 17″ – 20″

Rings are set atop thick half-round bands.
Prices:

Necklaces: $155
Rings: $155

A fleeting moment caught in glowing gemstone and the deep shadows of summertime shade set into all the corners. A butterfly that will rest upon the hand and keep you company always.

The rings and necklaces are made from gorgeous Montana agate gemstones, cut as pairs.

They are set in sturdy sterling silver with windows sawn out of the backs to allow the light to stream through. I love to hold them up to the light and see all the tiny swirls of color and opacity.

On the backs of the necklaces, I have sawn tiny geometric and slightly irregular windows, to look like the patterning of a butterfly wing.

The rings are set atop thick half-round bands for comfort with a floating dot pattern trailing around the band, like the tiny footprints of a butterfly tip-toeing its way around the finger.

See the photos of the necklace and rings being held size reference, I can also provide measurements if you like.

Flutter of Wings Necklace and Earrings

There will be 19 necklaces and 9 earrings.
Pendants are suspended from chains adjustable from 17″ – 20″
Earrings are suspended from simple sterling french earwires.
Prices:
Necklaces: $168
Earrings: $139

“Summer afternoon – summer afternoon; to me those have always been the two most beautiful words in the English language.” – Henry James

Necklaces and earrings as warm as a summer afternoon with a gentle susurrus to mark the time.

These pieces are made from unique cuts of of Montana agate, the earrings as matching pairs, and the necklaces have a variety of stones.

For this necklace design, I decided to include a few variations so you could choose one that sings to you.

In some of the necklaces, the agates are simply set with no edge, and have tiny geometric windows sawn out of the backs to resemble the patterning of a butterfly wing.

Others have a thin edge trailing around the stones, deep shadows tucked in every corner.

And there are even some glowing, smooth Montana agate drops in some of the necklaces as well.

Build into the necklaces and earrings are sweet little Hessonite garnets. In the necklaces, there are bezel set stones suspended from the chain equal distances apart.

And in the earrings, below each earring is a swath of tiny hessonite gemstones, like bright red berries dangling from the vine, a gentle tinkling noise to carry you throughout the day.

They are set in sturdy sterling silver with windows sawn out of the backs to allow the light to stream through.

While dangling from the ears, it is lovely to see the light stream through and all the tiny swirls of color and opacity.

☀ See the photos of the earrings being held and next to an American quarter for size reference.

Song of Summer Bracelets

There will be 9 cuff bracelets available, 7 small/medium and 2 medium/large.
S/M = 6″ around with a 1″ gap
M/L = 7″ around with a 1″ gap
Prices: $158

“In summer, the song sings itself.” – William Carlos Williams

A bracelet that positively sings the song of summer.

Glowing berry reds and amber wings, the deep shadows left by the midday sun, and butterflies delicately balanced amidst it all.

This cuff bracelet is comprised of a focal Montana agate gemstone, each one uniquely swirled with earthy, flowing rivers of color.

And to either side of the agate gemstone are two sterling silver butterflies balanced atop the band.

And two glowing hessonite garnets balanced on either end, like sun-ripened berries.

All set atop a thick rectangle band, and are made to be easily adjustable and are shaped with a gap to slip your wrist through.

Butterfly in the Berry Patch Earrings

There will be 11 pairs available.
Suspended from sturdy post earwires.
Price: $148

Like a butterfly floating through a strawberry patch, fluttering and glowing.

Warm, smooth garnet studs, like little berries clinging to the ear.

Below the garnets are summery Montana agate gemstones.

On the backs of the agate dangles, I have sawn tiny geometric and slightly irregular windows, to look like the patterning of a butterfly wing.

For each pair of earrings, I used very different agate pairs, varying in shape, patterning, color, and size.

☀ See the photos of the earrings being held and next to an American quarter for size reference.
