I knew I would only have time for just a few pieces, but I wanted there to be a handful of stormy kyanite beauties in time for the holidays. And this is what I was able to pull from the sea for you.
And so here, another offering of the Darkling Sea Collection, limited to only two designs and only 30 pieces in total. I hope you love them!

A ring for the deep Atlantic, all saturated blues and shadows. Rings for gathering sea storms in your hands. The gemstones are set in straight bezels.
Accenting the stones are little sterling silver pebbles, like beach stones smooth and shining from a recent wave.
And little fronds made of molten silver and hand sawn and smoothed before afixing them to the ring.
The bands have been textured to look similar to rippling waves on the sea, irregular and uniform at the same time.
The rings were given a high polish so they would look as though they were dipped in water.
And in photographing these rings in full sunshine, I discovered that the light positively bounces off the bands.
Sunshine splays from the textured surface, speckling your fingers and clothes, just like light reflecting from the tops of waves.

There will be 15 pairs of earrings available.
Earrings measure about 3″ from the post
on the stud to the bottom of the frond charm.

The natural teal blue kyanite gemstones drink the light and holds it within.
Looking into the stone is like looking up towards the light while underwater, dotted with crackling striations and dark inclusions like clusters of algae or leaves from nearby trees.
The gemstones are simply set in straight bezels.
They are suspended in slightly graduated size from top to bottom.
At the very bottom of the earrings is a little frond made of molten silver and hand sawn and smoothed before affixing them to the gemstone.
They are suspended from a simple disc that can be worn in front of or behind the earlobe.
The string of gemstones is secured by a simple stud made with melted down sterling silver so it might look like an organic stone. Smoothed and polished and set atop a post.
The earrings were given a high polish so they would look as though they were splashed by the Atlantic ocean.
And with these pieces, that’s everything that will be in this Darkling Sea offering!
